Beyond lavender fields and almond trees, the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur area is characterized by rocky limestone ridges and orcher hills enchanting hickers’ curiosity. When approaching by the Rhône river banks, Avignon, a medieval city classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site, unweils its beauty. Located on the Barthelasse island, the camping presents a georgous cultural landscape facing the Popes’ Palace and the famous Avignon bridge. At the gates of the French capital of theatre, you may also easily shuttle from the camping on the Rhône river by taking the free river shuttle which will lead you directly to Avignon’s city centre.
The camping offers 300 wide camping places on a 7.6 ha / 18.78 acre forestry land. Enjoy an high quality natural environment while being close to the historic city centre. You may chose between staying either on traditional camping places or in last-generation mobil homes or canvas bungalows.
A secured campervan parking with service area (35 spaces) is also available just 100 meters from the campsite (see the rates)

Access to camping :
From Paris : A6 motorway on 292 km (181.44 miles)/A7 motorway/A9 motorway towards Nîmes / Montpellier / Toulouse / Barcelone. Exit number 22 towards Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. N580 national road/D6580 departmental road on 8 km (4.97 miles). Follow signs towards « Ile de la Barthelasse », then to the camping.
