If you would like to learn to rock climb, or else improve your skills, we can strongly recommend you head straight for the royal Fontainebleau Forest with its famous sandstone boulders. At only an hour from Paris, this is a chance to enjoy a breath of fresh air during a stay in the heart of nature.

Our Camping les Prés campsite is located just 10 minutes from this famous forest. You can choose from 250 sectors comprising more than 27,000 routes on offer to climbers. Welcome to a boulderer’s paradise, this is a mythical site for rock climbers from around the world!

Rock climbing in Côte d’Or: nature sites that are worth the visit

Camping de Santenay in Côte d’Or is 10km from Cormot le Grand, a rock-climbing site known throughout France. Discover this legendary site for rock climbing in Bourgogne, reputed for its limestone cliffs that are a kilometre long and 40 metres high. After all the exercise, take a relaxing stroll in the pretty village of Cormot and a trip to explore the Cirque du Bout du Monde steephead valley a few kilometres away. You can admire its majestic waterfall and beautiful countryside that guarantees a real change of scenery...
