A wine-growing region to be savoured

All wine lovers know that the vineyards in Pays de la Loire should not be missed! This is the third largest wine-growing region in France as regards AOC wines. Muscadet, Saumur-Champigny, etc, are just some of those to be tasted and enjoyed. And that’s not all! Pays de la Loire has 3,000 kms of cycling routes, including the famous Loire à Vélo, Vélodyssée and Vélo Francette biking itineraries, which go past the Lion d’Angers nature campsite.

Do you feel more at home on the water than on a bike? This region also looks to the Atlantic! Discover breathtaking scenery aboard your canoe as you travel down the Oudon River, a tributary of the Mayenne River.

You can also board a traditional ‘gabarre’ boat and explore the locks as you travel down the river.
