Autun, which is classed as a Town of Art and History, is an imperial Roman town. Relive the Gallo-Roman era as you travel back in time and discover ‘Augustodunum’, son-et-lumière shows that bring this Gallo-Roman town to life, along with a Roman theatre and the famous Arroux Gate. You will also be amazed by the magnificent Chateaux of Couches and Sully.
Listen carefully as the enchantress in Morvan forest whispers her secrets… Become absorbed in the calm tranquillity of the wide lakes and the breeze blowing in the tall pine trees. Discover our superb natural landscapes by bike, on horseback or on a quad bike.
The campsite is located along the river and has 86 spacious pitches marked out over an area of 2 hectares. You can choose to stay on a traditional or hard-standing camping pitch, or in a mobile home with all the modern comforts.
Venture into the heart of the Morvan area in Bibracte, going back 2,000 years in time, to unveil the mysteries of Gallic civilisation! On the agenda: Visit the museum with reconstructed historical scenes, temporary exhibitions and a shop, take a guided tour of the archaeology site and enjoy a Gaulois meal in an unusual setting at Le Chaudron restaurant. Younger children will even be able to realise their wish to become an archaeologist for a day by attending the discovery workshop activities!
The Arc of Time historical escape game: This gives you an hour in the middle of Autun, in which you must solve the mystery of the guardian of the relics!
If you love Geocaching, did you know that Autun houses many caches? There are no less than 70 within 5km of the campsite! The first place to find when coming to us: N 46° 57.866′ E 4° 17.559′ ???? A vos GPS !
