Beyond the lavender fields and almond trees, the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte-D’Azur is also characterised by its limestone ridges and hills of ochre that excite the curiosity of hikers. As you approach the banks of the Rhône, you will see the ramparts of the medieval town of Avignon, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, offering you a journey in time. The campsite is located on the island of La Barthelasse. It faces the Palace of the Popes and the famous Pont d’Avignon bridge, providing a splendid cultural view. From the gateway of the French capital of theatre, you will also be able to enjoy regular trips on the Rhône River departing from the campsite, via a free river shuttle service that will take you directly to Avignon town centre.
The campsite has 300 spacious pitches in a wooded area of 7.6 hectares. Enjoy the idyllic natural surroundings, whilst still being close to the historical town centre. You can choose to stay on one of the campsite’s traditional pitches or in a mobile home.
